The whole world tuned in to watch.

Now, imagine the amount of pressure on him.

Imagine his wife and kids watching on TV.

Seeing how their daddy was being dragged.

Imagine his entire team and Board watching.

Yet, he was expected to maintain his cool.

He was expected to answer every question that was asked with honesty, clarity, respect, wisdom, and calm.

While still dealing with all his own internal turmoil.

He was expected not to fight, but in the same breath, he was expected to fight to save his company.

Listen, young entrepreneurs...

Many of us cannot survive this kind of pressure.

Imagine sitting in front of millions of people, every eye on you, as you get drilled about your business dealings.

Some of us would shake and start crying.

Some of us would throw up at some point.

Some of us would collapse out of anxiety.

That's why to be a CEO is more than a title.

It is more than just registering a company with CAC, doing photoshoots, and updating Facebook Profile.

As a CEO, you must have guts.

You must have mental toughness.

You must have nerves of steel.

You don't buckle easily under pressure.

There is also a second moral lesson here.

Mark Zuckerberg was personally put on the spot.

Not his lawyers, not his COO, CFO, or HR.

He was there himself.

There are some battles only you the CEO must fight.

There are some questions only you must answer.

Being a CEO means you are the one that must bear the biggest share of accountability in your organisation.

You must be the most scrutinized.

You must be the most interrogated.

You must be the most questioned.

Maybe the reason you don't know this yet is because you are still playing a small game or running a very small business.

The moment your business starts growing big, let's see how you can retain that without subjecting yourself to accountability.

Accountability is part of the CEO Module.

If you must build, you must be questioned.

Because...

Power without accountability will destroy you.

Many people see successful people at the finish line and call it luck.

They see the achievements.
They see the results.
They see the recognition.
